Cold weather getting you down? Wishing you could travel but are stuck social distancing and self-isolating? Thinking about what place you should go once it's safe to travel again?
Well, look no further! Here is my 4 day itinerary for Mexico City. When all this craziness is over, hopefully you can enjoy this gorgeous city!
Accommodations:
-AirBnB: Avenida Benjamin Franklin 175 302
-Hotels: La Carlota (modern with a gorgeous outside pool area), Nima Local Hotel (heritage hotel with the best and kindest staff, they also offer massages at your convenience)
Day 1:
-Land in Mexico City! I flew the Mexican airline, Interjet, which was awesome! The flight was on time, and they allow one free checked bag and two personal items in cabin. Definitely recommend.
-Uber to AirBnB! My sister found a cute apartment for us in the neighborhood of La Condesa which is absolutely gorgeous and very safe and residential.
-Sleep!! Rest up for your first full day in CDMX :)
Day 2:
-Walk around the neighborhood and eat breakfast at Lalo! (I recommend the chilaquiles)
-Do an off the beaten path historic site called the Square of Three Cultures! This square has ancient ruins, Spanish architecture, and communist style buildings centered around a very eerie square.
-Walk around Old CDMX where you will see ruins, gorgeous churches, charming streets, and the famous Spanish church.
-Get dinner at Ticuchi. (SO GOOD, try the grasshoppers!)

Day 3:
-Head outside of the city and go to Museo Diego Rivera - Anahuacalli. This has all the Aztec ruins and artifacts that Diego Rivera and Frieda Kahlo collected. On the roof, there is a beautiful panoramic view where you can see volcanoes and mountains surrounding CDMX.
-Visit Museo Dolores Olmeda. Absolutely beautiful art and garden, with peacocks!
-Grab pasta for dinner at Rosetta.

Day 4:
-Grab a yummy breakfast at a cute coffeeshop before heading back to the US!
I had an awesome time in Mexico City with my sister! I hope this helps you plan your next vacation!
